Dental Check-ups in Cheam
Thorough, unhurried examinations to keep your smile healthy. Prevention is always better than a cure.

Why Regular Dental Check-ups Matter
A dental check-up is one of the simplest things you can do to protect your oral health. Yet it’s often the thing that gets pushed to the bottom of the to-do list.
Routine dental exams help us catch problems early, when they’re easier and cheaper to treat. They also give us the chance to spot the first signs of gum disease, oral cancer, and other conditions that can affect our overall health.
At Nonsuch Park Dental, we make check-ups straightforward and reassuring. No lectures, no judgment, just honest advice and a clear picture of your oral health.
What's Included in Your Dental Examination
Every check-up at Nonsuch Park Dental is thorough and unhurried. Dr Tobi examines your teeth, gums, jaw, and bite, looking for signs of decay, gum disease, and any changes since your last visit. We also carry out an oral cancer screening and take X-rays if needed to see what’s happening beneath the surface.
Once complete, we’ll talk you through our findings in plain English and discuss any recommended next steps. No jargon, no pressure.
A Dental Health Review costs £65, or £35 for children. New patients pay £85, which includes two x-rays. We recommend check-ups every six to twelve months, but Dr Tobi will advise on the right frequency for you.
What Our Patients Say

Dr. Toby was thorough, gentle, and highly professional. He showed genuine care and took the time to address all our concerns, providing clear explanations and thoughtful recommendations for both a child and an older adult. It’s not easy to find a dentist who can connect so well with patients of different ages, but Dr. Toby did exactly that.
We truly appreciate the care, professionalism, and compassion shown by both Helen and Dr. Toby. This was one of the best dental check-up experiences our family has had, and we highly recommend them to anyone looking for excellent dental care.

Frequently Asked Questions
How often should I have a dental check-up?
For most people, every six to twelve months is ideal. If you have gum disease or other ongoing concerns, we may recommend more frequent visits. Dr Tobi will advise what’s right for you.
What's the difference between a Dental Health Review and a New Patient Examination?
A New Patient Examination is your first appointment with us. It takes longer as we gather the information required and get to know you, and it includes X-rays, so we can get a full picture of your oral health. A Dental Health Review is for existing patients and focuses on monitoring any changes since your last visit.
Do check-ups hurt?
Not at all. A check-up is a visual and physical examination of your mouth. If we need to take X-rays, these are quick and easy. If any treatment is recommended afterwards, we’ll always discuss pain management options with you.
What if you find something wrong?
We’ll explain what we’ve found, what your options are, and what it will cost. There’s never any pressure to make decisions on the spot. You’ll have all the information you need to decide what’s right for you.
